Third Act NJ Endorses one of our own for Cape May County Commissioner
One of the founding leaders aims to flip a seat in his current home town
David Temple helped launch the Third Act New Jersey Working Group as Co-Lead of our Coordinating Committee. An organizer who embodies every one of the Third Act Working Principles — perhaps most of all “Be Kind” — David has made the bold decision to run for County Commissioner in Cape May. All members of the current five-person board are Republican. In fact, Democrats often simply decline to run.
To David, that was a challenge he couldn’t turn down.
He would bring an impressive variety of skills and experience to the work. A former elementary school teacher, tennis and squash coach, green entrepreneur, and current realtor, David knows how to listen, find innovative solutions to climate challenges, and bring people together. The entire Coordinating Committee can vouch for his collaborative and constructive spirit.
Although speaking directly about the need to slow climate change may not seal any deals in his conservative district, finding ways to protect the tourism industry, strengthen agricultural production, create jobs, and ease the cost of living surely will. David is committed to working on all these issues.
So we proudly endorse our colleague David Temple for Cape May County Commissioner. If you can, support his courageous run!
